Meet the exciting Ligne Grande Vitesse (LGV) route with the famous TGV® Duplex: Marseille Saint-Charles - Avignon-TGV train for Train Simulator, the construction of the LGV M?diterran?e began in 1996. The route was designed as a dedicated 160-mile high-speed line connecting the southeast of France with its capital, Paris. It starts from the end of the LGV Rh?ne-Alpes line in Valencia, passes through Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, and ends at Marseille.LGV M?diterran?e opened in 2001 and is operated by SNCF®, which uses TGV Duplex high-speed trains that run from contact network voltage of 25 kV AC and capable of speeds up to 320 km / h. These revolutionary high-speed trains have significantly reduced travel time to the southern coast of France. Most of their routes, with an average length of 750 km (470 miles), are completed by the TGV in about 3 hours - faster than by plane. The route serves 4 specially designed stations. Gare de Valence TGV is a unique multi-level station, making it easy to transfer between high-speed and local trains. Gare d’Avignon TGV - famous for its proximity to Avignon city center. Gare d´Aix-en-Provence TGV - located so that it can easily be reached from Marseille and its airport, to which a bus runs from the station. The main station Marseille-Saint-Charles was originally built to serve the surrounding areas and the French Riviera, classic railway lines are also suitable for the station. Due to the topography of the southern part of France, the route contains many steep ascents and descents, not to mention the huge number of recesses , viaducts, and an 8 km (5 mi) tunnel. You can see the breathtaking views of the LGV Med route from a double-decker train flying at a speed of 300 - 320 km / h and providing fast and reliable movement in the south of France.

The route is equipped with the TVM430 (Transmission Voie-Machine) system - the latest locomotive signaling system designed specifically for high-speed high-density highways. The classic traffic signaling is not very convenient for high-speed routes, since the driver has too little time to see the traffic light flashing outside the window and react correctly to it. A TVM430 system screen is installed in the cab and provides the driver with information on the maximum permissible speed without the need to set ordinary traffic lights along the way. In addition, the Marseille - Avignon 100-kilometer high-speed section and the TGV Duplex in SNCF color are also included.
