In the game Subterrain you will play a certain Doctor West, apparently the only survivor in an underground city on Mars. Game action:

It took a little longer than expected, but by 2050, humanity had finally colonized Mars. The work is run by an entrepreneur named Jeff Murray. Instead of living on the surface of Mars, humans have built their homes underground. The city and all its supporting structures are buried deep, safe from the harsh conditions of the planet´s surface.

Dr. West recently arrived on Mars at the personal invitation of Jeff Murray. He is working on important research that he hoped would lead to a cure for the Alzheimer´s disease that afflicted his wife. Following an accident in his laboratory, West was taken into custody for murder. In a cold, dark chamber with no food or water, survival begins ...
