Paradox Development Studios presents The Art of War, the third and final expansion for the critically acclaimed global strategy game Europa Universalis IV. An exciting immersion awaits you during the Thirty Years War - a time of struggle for hegemony in Europe, characterized by instability in relations between church and state. The Art of War will bring improved gameplay mechanics that will make war the main tool for paving the way to triumph and domination.

Improved mechanics of naval battles and control over the army will make you responsible for achieving your goals. Will you fight on your own or would you rather rely on the military might of your allies? Each decision made determines the fate of your people for many centuries to come.

Features of the game:
Thirty Years War. Unique game mechanics and events for a religious military conflict that turned Europe into ruin.
Napoleonic era. Fight on the side of the Revolution or, conversely, oppose it. Create new dependent states on the map, reaping the fruits of your military campaigns.
Land and sea battles. Now you can carry out sorties from the siege, transfer the occupation to allies, assign targets for subjects and allies. The fleet can now be upgraded with one click of the mouse. If the cost of maintaining the fleet seems high, then it can be mothballed. Finally, your ships will be able to automatically deliver troops to their destinations.
Stamps. Unite your vassals into fortified communities (marks), thereby increasing your defenses. True, with this approach, vassal payments are reduced.
Improved diplomacy. There was an opportunity to sell surplus ships, battles with the use of Casus Belli vassals, the ability to declare war in support of the rebels in other states. Payment of reparations and waiver of claims are also available.
Improving the gameplay. Build armies in 1 click, refuse to support national provinces or whole groups of ideas, if those are no longer useful.
And also: a new model of the behavior of the rebels, a new system of cardinals for Catholic states, the emergence of local autonomies at the provincial level, map and game interface improvements, dozens of minor improvements.
