Additional information

Ethics of non – violence of the ancient doctrine, which means the rejection of the use of force and evil on the middle. The origins of this concept lie in ancient times, in the middle of the 1st Millennium BC that´s when he formed the man-centered view of the world, which is associated with the Golden moral rule. Thoughts on nonviolence are found in many world religions – Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism. Christians have this idea - one of the fundamental on which to base the sermon on the mount: "ye have heard that it was said, "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." And I say unto you, resist not evil. But whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if anyone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak also". Thus, the Jesus Christ denies the ancient law (the"lex talionis") – the principle of Talion, binding to avenge the perfect the enemy of evil, and proclaims the moral law – the law of love.
The founder of the pedagogy of non-violence in Russia (it is considered to be Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910), who created the famous Yasnaya Polyana school, have made a number of very important ideas concerning the educational process.
The theory of nonviolence Leo Tolstoy not only the belief in total universal relative to every aspect of life the principle of nonviolence, but also the development of alternatives and ways for its practical implementation. A great writer was not only a preacher of non-violence and a theoretician, but also a fighter for the assertion of this principle.
In fact, in his teachings about non-violent resistance to evil Tolstoy, L. N. created a new concept of courage and heroism: the power and the greatness of the people not the retaliation, but in the idea to impact not answer. Thanks to such actions, a moral person will not continue the chain of violence, and even more than that, man, hit another, you might be thinking (perhaps even shame) of the act, which is already a path to moral recovery.
