The game takes place in the distant Morning Star, 400 years after the original Ground Control story. Two opposing sides - the despotic Empire of Terra and the freedom-loving Alliance of the Northern Stars have converged on the battlefield for this planet, which has become home to the Alliance warriors. Soon a third player appears on the scene - a mysterious race of virons with organic weapons ... This time the player will play the role of Jacob Angeles, commander of the Alliance forces and protecting his planet.
